A Tied-up Train

On the inside of the train, approximately 30 cm below the waist, there are the remains of a couple of drawstrings with marks that suggest that the fabric has been gathered together at the back. The train, like the skirt, is not lined. The three-metre-long train was carried by several ladies-in-waiting when the queen walked forward.
