Join a guided tour and experience the splendour, power and theatre costumes in the era of Gustav III.
The tours are included with the admission ticket, you do not need to pre-book.

Family Guided Tour (in Swedish)
Join us for an exciting family tour in the Exhibition of Sweden’s royal history. Listen to storys about kings, queens, princes, and princesses. We explore shining armor, the stuffed horse Streiff, royal costumes made of gold, glittering carriages, and much more.
Times for the Family Tour
- Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00 and 13:00
- Tuesday to Sunday during Easter Holiday (12 – 20 April) at 12.00 and 13.00. Please note that the museum is closed Monday 14 April and 18 April.

The Castle Mouse
Join the Palace Mouse on an exciting tour of the museum. The Palace Mouse has been living in the basement of the Royal Palace for hundreds of years and has a secret chest packed with fun things. The chest helps the whole family can explore the Royal Armoury in a playful way, using several senses. Ask for the Palace Mouse at the counter in the museum shop.

Practical information before your visit
- Prams/strollers: Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring prams into the museum's exhibitions. In the museum entrance, there is a limited number of spots for prams. For safety reasons, you may not park strollers outside the entrance. This applies to the entire Royal Palace.
- Wardrobe: There is a cloakroom next to the museum’s shop. There are hangers for clothes as well as hat shelves. You will also find some lockers cabinets in the cloakroom.
- Packed meal: We do not have any room for eating packed meals. The sensitive environment means that it is not permitted to eat or drink in the museum’s exhibitions, entrance or shop.
- Lavatory: Half a staircase down, towards the royal carriages.
