Family friendly exhibition – Unicorns

Do you know about the mythical unicorn? It is magical and it is playful and there are pictures of it on several objects displayed in the exhibition. In this exhibition – Unicorns: If you believe in me I’ll believe in you – you’ll find lots of fun knowledge about the significance of the unicorn over thousands of years and even today.

In the big exhibition in the magical vaults of the Palace you will encounter unique royal objects from 500 years of Swedish royal history – splendid suits of armour and weapons, sumptuous costumes, and magnificent royal carriages from the time of Gustavus Vasa until today.

About the exhibition

The sparkling carriages

Below ground in the museum, in the old palace vaults, the royal carriages are lined up. Once upon a time they were used by kings and queens for various ceremonies such as weddings, coronations and funerals. Just imagine them being pulled along the streets by teams of splendid horses!
