The tours are included in the admission ticket and do not need to be booked in advance. First come, first served.
Tours during the Christmas Holidays
During the Christmas holidays, we offer daily guided tours in The Exhibition of Sweden’s royal history. All tours are included in the admission fee.
20 December – 6 January
- 11:30 – Guided tour in English in The Exhibition of Sweden’s royal history
- 13:00 – Family tour in The Exhibition of Sweden’s royal history
- 14:00 – Tour in Swedish in The Exhibition of Sweden’s royal history

The Castle Mouse
Join the Palace Mouse on an exciting tour of the museum. The Palace Mouse has been living in the basement of the Royal Palace for hundreds of years and has a secret chest packed with fun things. The chest helps the whole family can explore the Royal Armoury in a playful way, using several senses. Ask for the Palace Mouse at the counter in the museum shop.

Practical information before your visit
- Prams/strollers: Unfortunately, strollers cannot be brought into the museum’s exhibitions. There are a few places to park strollers near the museum entrance, and it is also possible to lock them outdoors in a designated area outside the museum.
- Wardrobe: There is a cloakroom next to the museum’s shop. There are hangers for clothes as well as hat shelves. You will also find some lockers cabinets in the cloakroom.
- Packed meal: We do not have any room for eating packed meals. The sensitive environment means that it is not permitted to eat or drink in the museum’s exhibitions, entrance or shop.
- Lavatory: Half a staircase down, towards the royal carriages.
